It's Potty Time!

Updated: Aug 29, 2020

If you haven't potty trained your little one yet, now is the best time to do it! Did you know it's easier to potty train your toddler during the warmer months?

Potty training can be daunting for both the parent and child and I advice that you only venture with potty training when YOU are ready for it. Frequent rushed visits to the toilet combined with the having the patience and waiting for that little tinkle can take its toll on you!

Let's not forget the child in all this; it's important for your little one to be ready as well. Once your toddler shows discomfort because his nappy is soiled, then it's time to start!

When potty training, it's important to remember that each child is different and it's important to be patient and support them through this journey. My 3rd child required lots of routine and frequent visits to the toilet, my second child, however woke up one day and decided she didn't want to wear diapers anymore and that was it... done!

I have created a Potty Training Flow chart to support you through the process. Not all points might be apply to your journey, so choose what best suits you.

Ohh and remember to celebrate once you're done!
