Service Description

Join Abrar Darwish (Speech Therapist and & Early Intervention Specialist) in this intimate online program, where she will go through step by step how you can support your child's language at home. This program is designed for parents of children between the ages of 2 yrs and 5 years who present with delayed language development. The It Takes Two to Talk Program, based on years of research at the Hanen Centre, shows you how to use your natural, day-to-day life with your child to help him develop language skills. You’ll discover simple things you can do during everyday activities like meal time, story time and bath time to create enjoyable learning opportunities for your child.It Takes Two to Talk translates the research on early language intervention into concrete strategies that are easy for parents to understand and to put into practice. The program offers you many opportunities to practice and discuss each strategy you learn so that you’ll be comfortable and confident using them at home. Weekly sessions will consist of opportunities to ask questions, watch videos as well as learn new parenting techniques and un-learn habits that might be stopping us from supporting our children. With a small group size of 5 participants, this will give parents the opportunity to be comfortable to share, learn and ask. We look forward to you joining us on this journey!
